Engineering Resume

One of the major role to get the job for the job seeker is done by the resume. The resume is the path can make us closer to the recruiters. That is why, resume must be prepared properly. It must grab the attention of the reader and prompt him to give you a ring for the interview.

While writing the engineering resume, first decide the proper format. List out all the points roughly. Then, finally integrate them all and write it in the resume.

The following are some points regarding how to write and what to write in engineering resume:

  • The resume must first start with contact information at the top in bold letters. In this, write name, postal address, contact no, email-address. The email-address must be professional enough.
  • Write the job objective in short. It must be catchy and must match your career goals and qualifications.
  • The next section is the work experience. Here start with the present job profile, name of the company, current CTC. Write the work history in chronological order. Write the responsibilities and the duties performed, projects undertaken. It tells the recruiter about your professional qualities. Mention the area of expertise.
  • Educational qualification follows the next. Write the entire education starting from high school to B.E or further more. Even here, write the educational details in chronological order. Include the name of the institution , location and academic grades earned.
  • Then comes the achievements field. In your past work experience you might have been the part of some projects. It might have helped the company in financial or any other way. If it is the case, then elaborate that project idea and describe the role that you had to initiate.
  • If you have any references write the same starting with “Reference Upon Request”. Remember one thing, the reference must be up to date and accurate.
